Brown Bag Seminar Series for Early Career Scholars

Since the spring semester of 2022, the Policy Futures research program has facilitated Brown Bag seminars (webinars) for early career scholars such as PhD Students, Postdocs, Assistant Professors, and research assistants.

The seminars function as a platform for collaborative exchange and discussion to support and encourage talent development. These exchanges can range from presentations of already developed papers to work-in-progress presentations as well as dialogues in relation to specific theoretical, methodological, or empirical questions.

The seminars are held online, every 6 weeks, on Thursdays during lunchtime, guaranteeing the participation of as many scholars involved as possible.

The 2025 Spring Semester Brown Bag Seminar series will start in February 2025, and have three sessions during the semester.

In collaboration with the Department of Education Studies at 에볼루션카지노, the Policy Futures research programme also hosts monthly workshops for early career scholars coordinated by Mie Plotnikof.

The workshops are held in connection to a theme that is chosen for each meeting. Among possible themes could be:

  • Literature review and creating a field (positioning)
  • Developing contributions and analytical frameworks
  • Methodology and field work methods

  • Publishing strategies and journals
  • Editing, revieweing and rewriting
